Ever wonder how a vintage spoon becomes a unique ring? Here's a peek behind the curtain at Rae's creative process.

"Every ring starts with a hunt for the perfect spoon. Rae scours antique shops, flea markets, and estate sales looking for unique pieces with interesting patterns and history.

Once a spoon is selected, Rae carefully cuts the handle from the bowl and files down any sharp edges to create a smooth, comfortable band."

"Using specialized tools, Rae bends the spoon handle into a perfect circle sized to fit comfortably on your finger. This requires patience and precision to maintain the integrity of the design.

Each ring is carefully polished to bring out the original pattern while preserving the beautiful patina that comes with age. The result is a wearable piece of history."
One of my most exciting finds was a set of rare Rolex spoons at an estate sale in Vermont. The seller had no idea what they had - they were just sitting in a box of "junk silver." When I spotted the distinct Rolex crown and Swiss cross, I could hardly contain my excitement. These spoons were made in small quantities as promotional items for Rolex dealers in the 1970s and are incredibly hard to find today. I've transformed them into some of my most sought-after pieces.
One of my favorite custom projects was for a woman named Eliza who had inherited her grandmother's silver collection but didn't know what to do with it. The pieces were beautiful but just sitting in a drawer. She asked me to transform one of her grandmother's ornate teaspoons into a ring she could wear every day. Now she carries a piece of her grandmother's legacy with her, and it's a beautiful conversation starter that keeps family memories alive.
